Hi, Brand new to the site, so here goes. I'm changing from r12 to r134a, everything has been replaced in the system. I need to know if the schrader valve on the r12 system has to be removed before I put on the r134a fitting? or do I leave it in place to charge the ac. Thanks for any help.

That depends on the R134a adapters. I have seen them come as just a larger fitting and uses the original valve and as an entire new fitting that need the valve removed.
