Default 91 Geo storm grinding noise

Hey everybody i was just wondering if anybody knew what this noise was when im driveing down the road to go straight i halve to have the steering wheel turned slighty to the right and when i turn to the left theres a loud grinding noise and it sounds like there is somthing beating the bottom of my car and its also kinda hard to turn . the noise started right after i replaced the cv joints thanks everybody and i would appreciate any answers so i can fix this problem

If it started after you did some repairs in that area, then you probably left something loose. There are also some reports that reman CV shafts are incorrect, some have the outer stub shaft too long so you cant properly tighten the axle shaft. The axle shaft set preload on the wheel bearings, a possible source of you noise.

Yep. I would bet good money that the axle nut is not tight enough. As was said, some of the reman'd CV shafts somehow have splines that are too long and prevent you from getting them tight. The wheel bearings are held together with the axle nut on one side.

+1 for the axle nut not tightening properly. in some cases, you have to use a spacer to be able to tighten it down all the way.
