i'm a DSM fan myself...the 4g63 is a nice azz motor, but most the ones i've seen throw rods are the second gen 7 bolt engines. could be that most the engines that throw a rod are overly modded for the stock internals too.

speaking of 3 cyl storms...my coworker calls my XS wagon a metro just to poke fun at me. silly goose and his V6 mustang...wait 'til my RS is up and running. gonna suck his azz in the seat

Ignorance is not knowing. Stupidity is ignoring what you know and doing it anyway. Don't get'em twisted.

yeah the 7 bolts do recieve a lot of flack for there walking of the crank But i think like its either you get a bad one that walks, or u get a good one that lasts 300 000 km's..... My friend has a 97 talon tsi awd and has never had a problem with crank walk. I think like 40% of the 7 bolts were good to go. and the 7 bolts also make more power too (stock) then a stock 6 bolt. But there such easy engines to get big HP numbers out of who cares. You look at a 4g63 wrong and it makes more power.

Reminds me of my daily Imark. That exactly what i want that body style with a swap. I know a guy with one that pus out 400 soemthing at the wheels, and runs high 11's. There a good amount of them running around. Just kinda tuff to find a nice shell for the swap.
