JI Parts catalog gives a 8-94343-407-2, i think the GM number is the same minus the 8 or the 2. the dealer should know.

i filled my motormounts with urethane window weld, seemed to stick just fine. just get in there good with a dremel first to give it a clean/rough surface to adhear to

8-94343-407-2 = gm# 94343407

It seems like a slightly more expensive version of the bushing I listed yesterday.

The front bushings everyone wants arent available from gm

I just pulled a set off of a 1990 GSi this afternoon for my car.....I also started to pull a set from a 1990 Impulse. They are also the replacable type.
I left the Impulse ones as they will require new bushings. If anyone wants a set.....(from the Impulse w/Lotus) I can get tehm....but they will not be cheap. They list the part as an "A frame" not a control arm.... as such, want $30 each side... and the bushings are good on the front side but garbage on the passenger side.

When you guys fill the mounts with window weld and such, how do you hold the bolt hole in the middle and keep the rest of the outside in place? I was gonna do it but didnt know how to go about it.

Hockey pucks are faster....cleaner and cheaper. Are tougher too.
I thought the flash was only an issue on my computer......I shall change shortlly..... shrink the file or something....I didnt think photobucket let large stuff through.....guess I was wrong.

its pretty thick stuff. you can either use tape or something to hold it straight . or drill out a hole a 1/16th or so smaller and hammer it in.

Thats what I thought.....thats why I want to build some out of urethane. If I get time I'll pull one of mine off this weekend and see whats up. I dont see any reason why the rubber cant be burned out of the thing and a new bushing machined to fit in the hole.

Just take a torch to them....That is how i get the old ones out.
Or toss in bonfire over night....

Goto any place that sells bushings and will let you go into the parts bins.... you will find some that fit easy. I did that for the "dog bone" mount year ago..... got one for another car to fit the Storm. It even had the same size center sleave.
